Fun:
The charger does not work. I plug it in and it works for about 4 seconds then stops. What the hell! I recommend buying from a known brand.

This USB charge cable is exactly the same as the one you get with the PS3 box except that it is 3M in length instead of the short 1M Sony supplies you with. It has aluminium/steel finish rather than gold but I can honestly say you don't need gold connectors with a charge cable really.
Does exactly what it should be doing (play and charge or just charge) whilst you sit a comfortable distance away from your TV. Using the Sony one was just plain annoying because of the length so buying this one solved a major headache for me.
I highly reccomend this lengthy cable. It seems robust and has a solid build. Although at first the tiny connector feels a tad tight fitting it into the Dual Shock Pad but this eventually becomes easier and easier as you use it more and more.

Works fine, and the length means you can play while charging from somewhere other than on the floor in front of the PS3 :L Good product, works perfectly, nothing else to say.

It doesn't charge
The product is advertised as 'PS3 Charger cable'. Instead, it just plugs the controller to the PS3, and works as a wired controller. It does not charge the actual controller. Read more
