The OpenOffice suite and the Firefox browser are undoubtedly great bits of software... but why pay for this package when both programs are available free (legitimately) and can be downloaded from the internet? The only reason for buying this package would be that you have a slow dial-up connection - otherwise it seems a waste of money.

If you've got a slow connection, get a friend with broadband to download them and give them a couple of quid for their trouble.

The software and manuals are available on the net -legitimately for free, and contrary to what the item description would imply, you don't need a registration number for the software.

This stuff is supposed to be FREE.

Okay, as you know, great if you want to spend less than you pay for Microsoft's well-known products. However, both Firefox and OpenOffice.org are available for free. Just visit their web-sites. However, this package is ideal for those with a slower, dial-up internet connection.
