Last week I went to Val Thorens and the pants are simply amazing. There are plenty of pockets! Very good for hot and cold ski weather

3.0 out of 5 stars Confusing size details 8 Mar 2013

The size of my ordered product was completely wrong for me. I did not wear these in action, so I can't attest to their actual performance. Quality seems very good, with convenient extras. Would've been happy were it not for the size problem. Let me explain:

The size chart describes waist measurements as W32"-34" = MEDIUM, and W34"-36" = LARGE. However, when selecting the product you wish to purchase, the options are stated as W34xL32, and so on. Therein lies the problem: the number 34 is stated for both the M and L sizes on the chart, and one is left to guess which size is meant by the product selection. Is it up to 34", or from 34" onwards?! I'm a 32x32, and took my 50/50 chances in hopes that selecting W34 meant up to 34". WRONG! W34xL32 is actually the LARGE, and will fit waist sizes 34-36".

Also, I think the length is more like 34". These were a good 2" longer than all my L32" jeans, and I certainly could tell when trying them on. Having said that, this would not have been a deal-breaker. The extra 2" in this case is not such a big problem to me.

So, I've exchanged for a smaller size, but had to resort to another (more expensive, in fact, double the price) seller because my size was not available anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent snowpants 3 Mar 2013

These pants have a good cut, meaning that if you choose the correct waist size you will have ample room for your legs, even in a squat position. They are warm but breathable, and are baggy enough at the boots, to fit over ski boots easily. I wore them this season and was very happy with them.
