Well, what can I sincerely say about Duncan and the items he produces? He is just one of the best and fantastically kind individuals you could ever hope to know, who has written some of the most interesting pieces on European cities I have ever had the pleasure of delving into.
His stories are always well researched and he always seems to come up with a little gold nugget about a place that no other guidebook has within their pages.
I am so glad Duncan has released this audio CD tour on Vienna which includes himself actually narrating 20 stories of the most unusual places this culturally rich city has to offer. Duncan has a wonderful voice to which be guided along to and this CD is ideal to either be downloaded onto your MP3 player and to be taken along with you when you personally visit Vienna so you can actually follow along as if Duncan was there in person as your own personal guide or for those days in which you'd like nothing more than to armchair travel. I recommend heartily you find the cosiest armchair you can, boil a hot brew, pop the CD into the stereo, crank up the speakers, close your eyes and float away to explore the side street's and lost alleyways of this small city and lose yourself in Duncan's warm company.
Just one of the things I think is great about this CD is the way that Duncan has included the city sounds in the background; it gives the complete impression of being there.
Upon the CD you will discover amongst others:
* Enter secret courtyards and descend into medieval wine cellars
* Uncover Roman ruins and Turkish cannonballs
* Experience the secret world of the knights of Blood Street
* Reveal the ghostly traces of a medieval synagogue
* Unravel the mysteries of the Stephansdom

In conclusion, definitely do buy this wonderful CD (I hope more follow in the series) and then give your historical and exploring side of your brain and heart a massive overdose by seeking out Duncan's other books and fully involving yourself into the wonderful world of being an explorer of this beautiful world we live on.
Enjoy Life. Live It Real
