For the entry level, this Onkyo is perfect! It adds bass and a lot of surround when connected to an Onkyo amp, but I find that the basic speaker cables that come with it are not up to the standard of the amp. Other decent cables make a LOT of a difference. Lucky enough I had a good deal with pro cables included, so I'm happy. You don't have to break the bank for a decent home cinema. What I was most amazed about though, was that the Onkyo 309 (which is supposed to do its best in the audio part of the many tasks it does, got rid of the "ghosting" in the 3D image from a SKY HD box, due to its clever 1080p image upscaling... I was pleasantly surprised by this. And the delivery took less than two days, so 5 stars from this point of view.

This buy was very worth the money considering the quality for the price. Hooked the speakers up to my Onkyo TX-SR309 receiver and and it was all sorted out. They go very loud and the bass from the subwoofer is good. Great buy.

The item was promptly delivered as promised and have since set it up in conjunction with an Onkyo AV receiver. The quality is exceptional, giving us hours of entertainment via blueray & tuner facilities. A very good purchase, and a system I would have no hesitation in recommending
