A good bit of kit BUT there are issues with the XMP Profile on certain motherboards and, when first installed, this memory runs at 1066MHz. My experience is with a Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R Rev 2.0 motherboard and it would not work with XMP activated. However, both OCZ and Gigabyte offer advice - OCZ in the form of manual settings and Gigabyte with a BIOS update. Also note that the XMP Profile is not designed to run with more than 1 Stick per Channel which means that you cannot have two of these kits in your system using the XMP Profile although it can be set manually to run at 1600MHz with 6 sticks.

Very Stable Memory 9 Nov. 2010

It supports Intel XMP for quick memory overclock using supported motherboards. Nice heat spreaders, not as effective as others with fins but they are low profile in case you have a big CPU cooler.

The upgrade to 12GB was major help on recording sessions, EZ Drummer, Guitar Rig and Sonar operating seamlessly, used to eat up my memory.

If your PC use is only gaming then 6GB will be more than enough, multitasking and photo/video/audio recording and editing will improve significantly (depending on the way the program itself works with memory however).
