I am currently studying AS Level Human Biology and this is the text that has been selected for the course, but soon enough our very experienced lecturers have found many mistakes in this text to the point that they have written to the authors/editors of the text pointing out the mistakes that they have found so far and still continue to find as we progress through the course. The mistakes are not the only problem, the chapters are badly organised and do not follow the way the OCR specification is laid out. Stay well clear and look for something else!!!

For a text book it is not bad. There are however a few mistakes and the information on some pages waffle on and do not give you the specific information that you need. I would recommend it with the Revision guide as they complement each other by filling in the pieces each other have missed.
This is a really good book to have if you're studying AS/A2 Human Biology. However, it is very in depth and the majority of the detail you don't need. I've just purchased the OCR revise Human Biology book which seems to break it down and desrcibe things more. So i'd recommend having a look at the revise book and getting them together. :)

Brilliant detailed book, full of all the modules and area's needed for studies. The pages are great with key words and mini exam questions at the end of every module.

Very clear and informative
Well presented and very informative study guide. each section has relevant questions at the end and exam hints throughout.
