The OCR Chemistry for AS Book and Student's CD-ROM have been developed by two highly experienced authors to support the revised OCR specifications. Every copy of the book comes with a Student's CD-ROM (powered by Dynamic Learning), providing students with interactive pages enhanced with additional resources. Tailored precisely to the revised OCR specifications, the Student’s Book includes both quick Test yourself questions throughout each of the 19 topics and end of topic exam-style, Review questions. The single-user license Student's CD-ROM has a full copy of the book with icons linking it to::
- Learning outcomes showing a complete list of the requirements in the specification to help students see where learning objectives and skills are covered in the book.
- Data tables
- Practical guidance on, for example, risk assessments, errors ad uncertainty, titrations and the preparation of organic compounds
- Tutorials that work through selected problems and explain the more difficult concepts using a voiceover and animated diagrams, graphs and worked calculations
- Extension questions to stretch the most able, covering some ideas in greater depth
- Answers to all Test yourself questions and questions in the Activities in the Student’s Book

About the Author
Graham Hill is author of a bestselling A level chemistry textbook and numerous GCSE Chemistry and dual award textbooks. Graham taught for over 30 years and held various appointments as Head of Chemistry and Head of Science. During his teaching career, Graham held secondments as Senior Fellow to the Salter’s project at the University of York and as Chairman of the ASE. Andrew Hunt is an experienced teacher, examiner and author. He has taken a leading role in the Nuffield Chemistry, Twenty First Century Science and Science in Society projects. He taught advanced chemistry courses in schools for 20 years and has written a variety of successful chemistry textbooks including an AS and A2 textbook/CD-ROM series.
