Calm and peaceful. The quality of the real portuguese music. Experience the amazing and heavenly voice of Teresa Salgueiro and the fantastic skills of all the other musicians.

This CD is probably Madredeus' best so far. It is simply wonderful, beyond words, beyond anything anyone can say, do or make you feel.
Teresa Salgueiro is at the top of her singing career and so are the musicians. Songs such as "Haja o que houver" ("Whatever happens"), "Os dias são à noite" ("Days by night"), "Andorinha da Primavera" ("Spring's Swallows") and "Margem" ("Shore") evoke a timeless, gentler, mellower, non-existing and non-placeable epoch.
I can only say that this music is so hauntingly beautiful that at times all I can do is cry. Yet the songs aren't sad at all, only mellow, calm and soothing.
And I dare you to find a voice better than Teresa's.

I first heard this album when sitting in a little bar in Merida in Western Spain. Teresa Salgueiro's crystal clear voice cut through the chatter and clutter of plates and glasses and set my skin into goose bumps. I couldn't leave the bar without knowing who the singer was, who was the band. And as soon as I got to Lisbon I bought the CD. It is an absolute treasure, full of honey-sweet melodies tinged with sadness. And it never gets wearing even after a hundred listens. I have trawled Madredeus's back catalogue and bought their later releases since. But nothing compares. Nothing comes close. This is the one: their masterpeice.

I simply cannot explain the depths that this album, and indeed each song brings to the listener. A beautiful and majestic piece of Portuguese ballad/folk music, which deserves every accolade it can get. Music which creates dreams.
