I got this sensor bar on the strength of the reviews on amazon.com where it is very highly rated. I'd found that play some games in my living room which is about 5 metres across that I'd get problems with the sensor bar not being quite sensitive enough and just losing on games by a very small margin. With this sensor bar all games are now spot on perfect but I have also found that using the nintendo supplied bar and sticking this one on top make it even better so I have 2 sensor bars in use. The only real complaint I have is that it isn't supplied with any sticky pads so I had to get the double sided tape out and also that the slot for the 4xAA batteries is on the bottom of the bar so I'll be having to replace the tape every time I stick new batteries in. Anyhow for that bit more range it works perfectly and doubling up with the Nintendo bar means if the batteries go in the middle of a gaming session I won't be totally stuck.

With my setup, the Wii console is quite far from the screen, making the Nintendo-supplied bar impracticle to use.
Having a wireless bar should solve exactly this issue.
I chose this bar (Nyko) because it promised good distance (25ft/7.5m) and good battery life.
In reality, the distance is limited to no more than 13ft/4m - which i more than 40% off what is stated on the box.
Further, the bar has difficulties switching off (hold the button for 3 secs, the light goes off, let go of the button and it comes back on again!) which causes huge consumption of battery life. (i use rechargable, but it is still unacceptable.)

poor product. poor design.
stay away.

Sensor bar works well. Due to our set up , our screen is in a different room to the TV media receiver box (and therefore the Wii needs to be near it to connect) and all other cables are behind the wall, so this wireless bar was a good answer.
We've used quite a lot since xmas and not had any issues with battery life.

Was a little unsure based on one review I read but have to say I haven't had any difficulties at all. The working distance is fine as is the battery life.

I've just received this sensor bar and am very dissapointed. It stops working from about 10 feet, and this is both with and without the wired sensor also attached.

It's going straight back!
