Product Description

Review

"The view that nurses should move towards increasing their level of autonomy rather than striving for autonomous practice was especially pleasing, as this has been an area of controversy for some time.
The book emphasises the patient throughout. I was relieved to see the positive comment on the nurse s responsibility for providing first aid.
A very thought provoking book that will appeal to nurses who enjoy debating the purpose and role of the nurse and nursing."Nursing Standard
a book could be attention seeking this is a good example. No matter where you open this book, as soon as you begin to scan the pages a paragraph captures your attention."Accident and Emergency Nursing

Product Description

"Nursing Frontiers: Accountability and the Boundaries of Care" challenges existing professional boundaries that mark out territory within nursing and other groups such as medicine, exploring the whole question of change and interaction within health care and nursing.

This is a book for all nurses who are concerned about their professional development. In the author's usual style, it is easy to read and understand and any nurse who wants to develop his or her practice will find this book both encouraging and reassuring. It applies to nursing in all settings and provides a firm base from which nurses can learn about expanding their practice safely. Highly recommended.
