"I can see how this book could be a very useful one in the armoury of nursing practitioners."British Journal of Perioperative Nursing

I found the book packed full of relevant information."Nursing Standard

Product Description

This book initially takes a systems approach to cover the most frequently presenting types of problems that the nurse practitioner will encounter but the scope of the book then widens to include psychological and emotional problems as well as the special needs of those patients with long-term chronic health problems. A hands-on, clinical text, the book has been derived from the editors' experience as a course team running the Royal College of Nursing Institute BSc Nurse Practitioner Course in Lancaster and Carlisle. It is an essential purchase for all Nurse Practitioners.

By B. Cox VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
This is a bedside table read-simple, straightforward information on the things you really need to know when working as a nurse practitioner. I work in Primary Care and when it is not on my bedside table it is in the surgery as a quick aide-memoire and reference guide on a wealth of topics. It is not going to help you write your dissertation necessarily, but it will ensure that you are accessing up-to-date information on those conditions which we all come across on a regular basis each week. There are also some conditions which you may not see so often and a few that you probably hope you'll never see! I would recommend this as a bit of light relief to some of the weightier tomes which you may have to do battle with during your NP or ANP course. This is one text book which you could read and enjoy from cover to cover.
