Nunhead Cemetery is more a park than a Cemetery, which is a shame, because it was once a great cemetery. It is still worth a visit especially if combined with West Norwood (and if you have the time with Brookwood). There are interesting monuments, especially the monuments to the Scottish Martyrs and the Sea Scouts that were drowned in the Leysdown Tragedy. The park should receive funding to restore it to it's former glory. This book however will guide you to the "must see's", well worth the price if you are interested in Victorian Cemeteries in London.
