The nuffield advanced chemistry teacher's guide provides details into every experiment and comments on the procedures. The book also provides suggested teaching time which can be used as a guideline for planning a teaching time table. The teacher's guide is very helpful since it contains answers to all the review questions and examination questions at the end of each topic.
I personally would certainly recommend this book to all teachers teaching nuffield A-level chemistry, but also to any students who are studying the course by themselves. Also, there is a nuffield A-level chemistry student's book for pupils.

I use this textbook at school, and I totally agree with the other two reviews. There is absolutely no explanation whatsoever, just very difficult review questions, which completely knock your confidence which is stupid in itself given the information isn't even there for you to work from! If you, like me, are working from this book in lessons, make absolutely sure you purchase excellent textbooks with your own money aswell, otherwise you simply won't understand.

In this text book you will find it very hard to work from, because you only have pratical experiments and how to carry them out. After the experiments there is just review questions for you to answer as to what you saw in the experiment and then it will go on to the next experiment! I am sorry but where is the explanation of what should or will happen? The only good thing about this text book is the examination questions at the end of each topic! It is a book not to study from i suggest that you buy it if you have someone to help you through it!
