Originally from Dublin, award-winning writer Nuala Ní Chonchúir lives in County Galway, Ireland. Her début novel You was recently published by New Island; The Irish Examiner said it was 'a gem'; The Irish Independent, 'a must read'. Her third short fiction collection Nude was published in 2009; The Irish Times said it was 'a memorable achievement'; Nude was shortlisted for the 2010 Edge Hill Short Story Prize.
She was one of four winners of the 2009 Templar Poetry Pamphlet competition. Her pamphlet Portrait of the Artist with a Red Car was published November 2009. Nuala's third poetry collection, The Juno Charm, appears from Salmon Poetry in November 2011.
Nuala has won many prizes for her fiction, including the Cúirt New Writing Prize, RTÉ radio's Francis MacManus Award, the inaugural Jonathan Swift Award and the Cecil Day Lewis Award. She was recently shortlisted for the European Prize for Literature.
