Nu progressive era is best bought on the limited edition 3 disc set. Disc 1 starts with the dark yet uplifting "B" by Datar which sets the mood right with it's swirling strings and distant tribal beats. Things start to get lively on track 4 with Mainlines "Innerspace" with it's deep progressive beats. Tribal fever starts on Track 6 with Americas Sharam & Yousefs "2 of us" with it's hypnotising stabs and tribal rhythms.Track 7 is my choice of disc 1. Silvio Ecomo's "Standing". This is how a choon should be made. Begins with a nice four beat, nice effects bring in a high hat then a full frontal tribal assault into a dark tribal vocal and back out.Choon!! Disc 2 starts with Tata box Inhibitors "Freet" Pascal F.E.O.S mix which is a quality tune.A fine looped rhythm surrounded by deep progressive beats. Track 2 is Adam Beyers Remaining III. Starts with a break beat feel into a deep dark and moody tune. Like dark and electrical stabs then this is your tune with a lush bass. Dark and hard. For those who like a funky rift then track 4 is yours.Hipp-e & Tony pres Soul interactive. My track on Disc 2 is Ogenki Clinic. Dark and lovely and for the beat headz out there. Starts and within a few seconds you will be nodding like a dog on a cars parcel shelf. A few minutes later it takes you to the dark side with a moody rift into a downtempo tribal rhythm. Could be a track from Mr Oizo the furry fella himself.Bless :-) Disc 3 is the bonus disc only available on the Limited edition set. Starts of with Rui Da Silva's "Touch Me" remixed by Peace Division which with its tribal feel doesnt really go anywhere, you keep waiting for something that just doesnt happen.Read more ›

Having picked up this Cd to find it was digitally mixed by Red Jerry (masterful creator of such classics as Euphoric breakdown hard house dance anthems number 679) I was almost ready to put it straight back down again. Something made me buy it and to be honest it was mainly the fact that the CD encompasses Sven Vaths finest hour ie his masterpiece of all that is deep - Barbarella. So I thought anything with this on cant be too bad and I took a chance on it. I was right to do so. If you like the kind of music that you would expect to hear resounding from the decks of such DJs as Sasha, Diggers, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler and anyone else who knows their progressive then you will love this CD. It is deep it is thumping it is house, trance, tech-house all sorts but what it is above all else is good. The kind of good that you would love to hear in a club when out of your mind but also the kind of good that happily flows from your stereo at most times of the day and night. My advice - buy it.

Quite simply one of the best progressive mix albums released over the years. Been top of my playlist ever since it came out.
Second only to the legendary GU:013 Sasha - Ibiza, but almost there. Sven Vath's Barbarella and Sasha's Involver make your spine tingle - you can hear them building and dropping, building and dropping until they're unleashed in their full glory.
All credit to Red Jerry for an outstanding mix.

After a few listens I've really got into this album. It's a very good at effort at pulling together some of the better house and trance tracks from the past few years (most of the tracks are newer rather than older though). Sander Kleinenberg's tune is absolutely brilliant although very nearly cheesy. Top marks goes to Adam Beyer's tune though, the only techno track on the collection. Make sure you get his new album Protechtion! A very good buy and recommended.
