I became aware of Kasey Anderson from Counting Crows Underwater Sunshine , they covered Like Teenage Gravity . This album is the business , it's gritty in a bluesy Tom Waitts style and there is not a weak track on it . I have already ordered Heart of a dog and plan to follow Kasey Anderson from here on in .

its difficult to rate this because the album/music because clearly deserves 5 stars my 1 star is a warning to other vinyl fans out there, I wish this review was only for the vinyl version but amazon put the review agains all formats.

The music was brought to my attention from the cover on counting crows underwater sunshine album, after listening I was impressed enough to buy it. Its a truly great album.

DON'T BUY IT ON VINYL!!! I was over the moon to see this was available on vinyl, double 180gsm no less! However on listening the sound is surprisingly not as good as cd. The pressing is unlistenable. Its not just noise, there are odd artefacts that just shouldn't be there, the sound is so distorted in places it overpowers the vocals and the sound actually fades in places. I've tried 2 copies of the vinyl both sound really bad. One has to question the logic of producing a format capable of sounding stunning then botching it so bad?

Great CD 19 Feb. 2010
By Michael Twardy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I heard one of the songs back in January on XM The Loft. Went online and found the CD wasn't going to be released until Feb. 16. I never heard of him before, but ordered it. What a great find. I would say a little Steve Earle, a little John Mellencamp, and a little Shawn Mullins. Good sonwriter and some good guitar. Well worth the money.
Love Kasey 18 Dec. 2012

I'm a new fan. I looked for this CD after hearing Like Teenage Gravity sung by Adam Duritz on Underwater Sunshine. I'm a huge CC fan so I'll always be partial to Adam version because his voice is such a part of my life. But I am definitely a new fan of Kasey Anderson and love his songwriting abilities as well as his voice. The rest of the album was super, I listen to it all the time.
