5.0 out of 5 stars "Now you're talking" 4 Sep 2006
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an excellent start to learning Irish and is what I use for adult beginners and improvers classes. Its mainly deals with Ulster Irish and grammar is on a 'need to know' basis. The book is sectioned off into 20 sections and are developed in stages as the learner progresses.

The book is very easy on the eye and has a 'fun' element to the learning, being designed colourfully and with cartoons and photographs throughout.

Perhaps the best part of this learning process is that tapes/dvd are availablle to accompany the book and are an excellent way to reinforce what has been learned in the absence of other speakers/learners. Developed by native Donegal speakers there is no better way to start learning your native tongue! Enjoy.

Want to teach yourself Irish? This is one of the two best ways to do so, in my opinion. I have been learning Irish by myself since the early 1990s, and this has been a mainstay of my efforts.
