This is a very well designed music quiz, providing much enjoyment and fun for all. It combines traditional family entertainment with modern technology very effectively. It is convenient and simple to use, and suitable for all the family with the wide range of choice of different eras to be tested on in the quiz.

I wouldn't recommend this dvd game. Compared with other similar DVD games it is very repetitive and the same questions come up time and time again. Not at all good value for money.

Just bought this as a Christmas present for somebody, but curiosity got the better and I pulled the wrapping off to give it a go...
Hours later, me and two friends were STILL playing it! :)
There's plenty of music & video clips to go with the questions, and a lot of pictures too - ignore the reviewer who said there hardly is any! If I was the suspicious sort, I'd say he was somebody who had worked on a rival product! The text doesn't hurt my eyes at all (even after a few pints, heheh), and the questions vary a lot in difficulty though I thought this was more down to your own knowledge (I don't know the difference between Girls Aloud & Atomic Kitten, but I do know my Pink Floyd from my Stranglers).
The 'Top 40' game is probably the best one if there's a few of you, 'Top 20' is great but I could see it dragging on *forever* on multi-player - it's so easy to get overly confident and go for just one more question, then see your postion go crashing back down again when you get it wrong! Good fun tho, especially when your clawing up to the #1 spot and your frustrated opponent is still somewhere around #18 :)
The I-Spy game was good too, but can only be played multi-player unfortunately. Also requires you to 'say' the answer out loud, and then asks you if you got it right... it sounds dumb, but it's the only way it could work really. Drunken friends cheat tho, and click "Yes" when they didn't (grrr).
We did see some repeated questions after a while, but this is only to be expected (and kind of unavoidable I suppose) but thankfully it wasn't too bad, even after our fairly extended game sessions.
We thought the fact that it didn't tell you which answer was correct when you got it wrong was a bit stupid, until we got that same question again - we *still* didn't know the answer so had to take a wild guess! I suppose the developers included this as a way of extending the game's lifespan?
A small gripe: sometimes, the response time between questions/menu's is a bit slow, but this seemed to happen more on the cheaper player in my bedroom than it did on my good one. I tested it on a PC, and everything was super fast... so it seems this isn't something we can really blame on the game. If it's slow when you play, you need a better player! LOL
All in all a great little game, a damn sight better than a lot of the other interactive tosh floating around, and well worth the money. Now to wrap it up, give it as a gift, and get all the answers right on Christmas day!!

This is really slow! The questions seem to take forever to load up, and when they do you are more than likely to be disappointed to find that you've already had the question before, dispite the game stating it had over 1500 questions, I find this disappointing. Also the game is supported by EMI/Virgin so all the question are understandably about bands on that label. This is means the vast majority of the questions are about boybands and pop music, which if you are into that type of music is ok, but there isn't really a wide range of music on the game to cater for everyone.

The NOW thats what i call music series continues with its first interactive DVD game. This is the first idvd ive bourght and its easy to play - you just use your remote control.
This game is fun to play with easy, medium or hard challenging questions aimed at all ages for me and my teenage boys.
The good thing about this game is I can play this with my kids as you can choose the decade you want for each question so i can go for 80s questions and they can go for more modern stuff.
Questions are multiple choice and you have 15 seconds to get it right. Theres loads of good video clips, album sleeves, photos and songs throughout the game also.
I like the gameplay where you have to climb the charts to NO.1 I will be playing this with my mates after the pub also as well as with my kids.

I've just GOT to vent my utter frustration! I got the "Now That's What I Call Music Quiz - The Ultimate Ineractive Music Quiz For All The Family On DVD". And nearly lost the bloody game by losing SIX - yes you heard it SIX POINTS on the the following question.
In What Year Did Abba win the Eurovision Song Contest?
It was a multiple choice question, so I had to take A, B, C, or D.
And now for the bit that really got me going! These were the answers offered:
???? WHAT????? Everyone knows that it was 1974!!!! Yet that year wasn't even offered as a possible answer!
So, seeing that this is a DVD game and you can't really argue your point with a DVD, I went for the nearest year and chose 1975... and it said "Unlucky!" and I went back 3 places instead of going forward 3. SIX BLOOMIN' PLACES!
So obviously this DVD thinks that Abba won in 1976, 1977 or 1978 - at the height of their career! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
If there is a picture question where bits of the picture are revealed until you guess the artist, then it was always either:
Pink Floyd or Queen - for 60s and 70s
Kelis or Atomic Kitten - for 2000s
Boy George or Culture Club - for the 80s
And a few different ones for the 1990s.
I'm guessing that whoever compiled this expensive waste of time had his or her 'era' in he 1990s. That would also explain why there were three 1980 fields, three 1990 fields and three 2000 fields - but only one field where the 60s and 70s were thrown in together. And then the answer was probably pink floyd... oh, yeah - or some ficitious year that disinterested and just-out-of-school compiler thought Abba 'may' have won the Eurovision Song Contest.
I highly recommend this DVD if you like more elaborate ways of throwing away money and like to get yourself all worked up. LOL.

Having played some of the poorer interactive DVD's this has to be the best to date. A great game for all the family, guaranteed fun for Christmas Day. There are 3 different games to play, all music trivia based across the decades from 60's and 70's to present day, making it enjoyable for all ages. Has so far, worked flawlessly on every player we've tried. Get it, you won't regret it :)

We were really disappointed with this - it could be such a great game. The first one I bought I had to take back as it kept sticking part way through the game - very annoying when it is so difficult to reach the end anyway. The same music plays all the way through the game and drives you mad after the first few minutes but you can't turn the sound down in case you do actually get one of the very few music clips - too many questions are just that - just questions. Too much on the 1990's/2000's - would have liked a bit more on the 60's and 70's. Agree with one of the other reviews that you should be a fan of Blur and Oasis and the like to get anywhere on this game. It's painfully slow too. Quite often get the same questions asked during the same game.

Was really looking forward to playing this game with our friends one saturday night, but have to say was utterly disapointed. Thought a lot of the questions were either far too easy or stupidly impossible. Took far too long to load each question, didn't give you very long to answer, i.e by the time you read the question your time was up. Spent nearly 2 hours playing and didn't seem to progress very far, took too long. Also questions were repetitive and dull.Waste of money.

This game is a complete waste of money. It is really slow,
there are not enough clips and it is generally very boring too play. If you can play this game for more than 5 minutes without
being completely frustated and bored with it you have done well.
