I have a growing collection of works by this largely ignored late baroque composer.
This second set of orchestral works by this ensemble is as well recorded and played as the 1st and 3rd set.
What I continue to be impressed with is the extraordinarily wide musical palette that Herr Graupner had.
The blurb,as always with this group, is full of information, and historical context.
Again, a bit by bit discussion of individual works would be crap...just go and have a listen...there's so much going on.
This music allows background use, or close listening. Even my children fail to groan when I put this in to play.
