4.0 out of 5 stars Amusing and interesting!!! 6 Mar 2006
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I'm a big Bernard Werber's fan and I wasn't disappointed by this one. If you've read Les Fourmis or Le Souffle de Dieux, then you already know those short articles about anything and everything that are part or those novels.
For all the others... "L'Encyclopedie...." is made of short articles about science, mythology, psychology, cooking, or things from our day-to-day life.... All more surprising than the others. It's either amusing or philosophical, either serious or funny. You could read the book from the beginning to the end, or pick one of the article each day depending on your mood...
I really recommend it, as it's a surprising experience!

5.0 out of 5 stars surprising 6 Mar 2006
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book is like no other one... It's made of lots of short articles on various sujects like phylosophy, psychology, mythology but also cooking or traditions. Some of them are funny, some amusing, some really surprising, some serious and other less... but each of them will make you think!
You could read it from the beginning to the end, but as there is no real order in the articles, you could also pick one from time to time.
It's a great experience!!! Those who already know and like Bernard Werber will love it, as it's really in his way of thinking, and other will discover this amazing writer!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most fascinating books ever written 17 April 2008
By Florian Kuepfer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Bernard Werber, author of "Les fourmis" (The Ants)and a legend in France, has done it again: writing a book with a scientific background and making it entertaining is no small feat!

In this book, you'll discover many mysterious things and experiences that you will tell to everyone you know. It was offered to me, I love it and keep browsing through it from time to time.

Recommended to curious people.
