Did make me think objectively about my wardrobe. Shame the authors are American as I did feel alienated by all the references to walk-in-wardrobes, not a luxury for many of us here in Britain. I was also disappointed that having completed the quizzes and discovered my true style as Bohemian there was then very little in the way of advice for me. I felt that the book focused largely on women working in an office environment. On a positive note I am more focused and confident when shopping for clothes.

I had a wardrobe full of clothes but was wearing the same few things everyday and feeling fed up. The book is a work book with quizzes to help you find your style. After a get real guided wardrobe edit, and following the steps through the chapters, a miracle has happened. Without buying any new clothes I have 85 outfit combinations! Amazing. This is a life changing book.

I'm an avid reader of this kind of book - and this is the best by a long way. I learned that my style is not "classic" but "chic/whimsical" and it has changed the way I look at my wardrobe and has helped me better to understand why I dress the way I do and the image I'm trying to portray by my own personal style. An excellent book!

This is a brilliant book. It helped me define my style and then clear all the clothes that don't suit me out of my wardrobe. I now have a streamlined wardrobe with clothes that are easy to find instead of being scrunched up at the bottom.

Will definitely recommend to all my friends and more.

I am so happy I bought this book. I love fashion and like to keep my finger on the pulse, but the clothes I was buying, though beautiful, were hanging unworn in my wardrobe and I was wearing the same dull old outfits every day - or living in my pyjamas!

This five step process makes you look honestly at what kind of clothes you have and whether your 'image' really works for you, eg my style could have previously have been described as 'whimsical', but that doesn't fit with my body shape or lifestyle anymore. I was surprised how few items I had to buy to bring my wardrobe up to speed, and I can honestly say I get excited about getting dressed in the morning - something I haven't felt for a long time.

My only criticism would be that as a UK reader I didn't quite get all the USA references - and it would have been nice to have a few more photos for inspiration. All in all, though, I would definitely recommend this if you seriously want to sort out your wardrobe.

This book gave me a genuinely new way of thinking about my clothing. I love these type of books and have Tim Gunn's 'A Guide To Style' and several others, but this is the only one which has had a long lasting impact on the way I think about clothes.

My favourite parts are the rules for editing, and the creation of a personal look book of photographs of the outfit combinations in your wardrobe. That has really helped me dressing for work, but also in planning easy combination wardrobes for holidays without all the trying on and taking off drama that usually accompanies my packing.

Highly recommended.

I found this book easy to read and follow. It inspired me to do a whole wardrobe review which left me with a set of clothes that suit and fit me - so it's easier to know what to wear each day. I didn't like the drawings very much, but that didn't really matter as the authors really know what they are talking about in this book. The style types vary from what I have come across before but this helped me to think more 'outside of the box' about personal styling. If you're serious about matching your image to who you are now, I reckon this is a good book to buy.

Wish I'd noticed the one-star review. It's repetitive, trite and unoriginal. When I saw that they recommended that you start with 200 ( yes - TWO HUNDRED!) clothes hangers to sort through your wardrobe, I suspected that it would have little if anything for me (after all, I don't own two hundred garments, even if I count my hair grips individually) and my suspicions were confirmed.

Written for people with more money than sense and the inclination to throw out everything and start again with designer couture. Poorly illustrated mainly with lines drawings, no actual advice when you find your 'type' and all I can say is - I'm pleased I bought it second-hand because it was money wasted.
