This book is excellent in explaining in a shorten version of what happens in the book. Also shows themes, characters and symbolisms. Overall an excellent revision book.

This is an extremely helpful book which gives you a summary and commentary for each chapter. It includes the Author's background, a brief synopsis and critical analysis. It is fine to just read the book but these notes help you to understand much more about the characters and themes. So pleased I bought it. Excellent value for money.

Silas Marner 4 Stars 16 May 2000

Format: Paperback
I will admit that maybe the first chapter was not the easiest to understand, but it still wasn't slow. I definantly recommend reading this book.

Silas Marner review 7 Feb 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you do not have to read this book, don't. It is very difficult to understand and catch on to, especially because of the slow plot build-up and the overall slowness of the book. It has a nice meaning to it but hard to understand because of the way the author words things.
