BIGGER, BADDER, BETTER - SUZANNE RETURNS WITH A ROLLERCOASTER OF ADULT DATING EXPERIENCES

Product Description

Middle-aged single mother and entertainment publicist Suzanne Portnoy leads a double life. Monday to Friday, she’s a professional executive devoted to her two adolescent boys. But at weekends she spends her kid-free hours having sex, with a different man each time. Or multiple men.Picking up where her first book, The Butcher, the Baker, the Candlestick Maker: An Erotic Memoir, left off, this memoir finds Suzanne both confronting the consequences, and enjoying the fruits, of her notoriety as the bestselling author of an erotic memoir. From a coked-up rock star to an uptight millionaire, to a hunky stripper, Suzanne attracts plenty of men wherever she goes, particularly once they learn her identity. But just when Suzanne grows reconciled to the possibility of never settling down, she meets a man who wants to be more than one of her ‘friends.’ While debating whether to unload her ‘portfolio’ of men for the potential one true lover, this most unconventional woman ponders the most conventional question: has she found the fabled Mr Right or will he prove to be just another in a long string of Mr Wrongs?

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 31 Mar 2008
I really liked Suzanne's first book, `The Butcher, The Baker, The Candlestick Maker', but this book seems very repetative with many of the stories re-told.

Disappointing - buy the first book but give this a miss.

2.0 out of 5 stars Porn or erotica?, 18 Mar 2008
Either way, this is it. It details the sexual exploits of a late 40's mum of 2. A decade or two ago this would have been 'racy' or even 'outrageous' but today its good, old fashioned soft porn. Credit to Ms Portnoy's frankness and openness but, like most current sex bloggers (Abby Lee for example), the novelty has worn off.

Take away the oh-my-god-she's-a-mum-of-two factor and what you are left with is a list of expolits of a modern swinger. There's nothing liberating here and despite her protestations you get the distinct feeling that she isnt very happy. Its a good non challenging read for anyone who's lived a sheltered life or who wants some cheap vicarious thrills.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eye opener!, 16 Feb 2008
This booked isn't for the fainthearted or the shy.

Its addictive, witty and honest and gives a graphic account of the sexual encounters of a successful woman who is balancing her life between parenthood, business and her very active love life.

Its refreshing in what is still perceived as a male dominated world, to read that a woman is taking control of her sex life, making the most of it and getting exactly what she wants.

Good for her!
