I've read a few on the subject and this is arguably the most constructive, a really positive take on how the issue can be tackled and overcome. The author takes time to show the people who have gotten involved to help and dispells a few misconceptions about trafficking.
However the retelling of peoples experiences are just bad writing. I've read a few books about this with word for word accounts of peoples experiences of being trafficked, and perhaps because of this, the accounts come off as genuine events just badly written. Some awful dialogue like 'yes, I wholeheartedly agree'. I understand that the author has to fill in the blanks when not just transcribing interviews but the writing is quite lame. All the events are recounted like a movie of the week.
It's a good book if you're looking for something light to start the subject and an easier read than some other more academic looks at the subject. BUT really quite terrible prose and doesn't touch on the larger issues of trafficking.
