Format:Audio CD
This is the debut album from one of the UK's most underrated bands. Take the spiky punch of Idlewild, the post-punk drive of Editors, and the glorious euphoria of Explosions in the Sky and this album is a winner.
Most of the tracks on it are 100mph indie stompers, from the rush of Roman is Better, and on to the driving riffs of Outwards, it's an adrenaline filled listen. However, when Kubichek! do decide to turn the pace down a few notches, this record really comes into it own. The introspective Hope is Impossible sounds like Sigur Ros if they were stuck in a dead end urban existance. And, as for Start As We Meant To.... wow, using the word "EPIC" doesnt do it justice. It's awesome....

What an album! Strong, well written songs from start to finish. Kubichek's music is imaginative, mature and energetic. For me, what sets them apart from so many other bands is great melodies and soaring chords that give their music an epic-sounding edge. Can't believe these guys aren't bigger than they are. New album on the way, can't wait!

This album is a fresh raw sound from the North East, Kubichek! go out and blast you away from the first track onwards. There is not one bad track on this album you have mini classics in outwards and nightjoy which tear your walls down, aswell as the raw energy of Hometown strategies and the superb Roman is better. If your looking for raw blistering new music you can't do any better than this gem!!!!!!!!!!!
