THE SECRETS OF MANAGING YOUR TIME REVEALED Have you taken on far more than you can handle? Is your life an exhausting cycle of commuting, work, housework, children and bed? Find it impossible to say no? Does the pace of modern life leave you breathless? Are there just not enough hours in your day? Then this is the book for you! We've all heard of the credit crunch but many of us also face a time crunch every day, where we just can't seem to fit everything into 24 hours. The world seems to be moving at a faster speed than ever. And in Ireland, we have a unique approach to time. Owen Fitzpatrick, presenter of RTÉ's Not Enough Hours, shows how you can take control of your life so that you make the most of every second. He describes where our concept of time comes from, and how people s perception of time differs. He profiles the seven time victims - the workaholic, the perfectionist, the walk over, the hurrier, the worrier, the busy bee and the time stranger and outlines the six time eaters. His TimeWise programme explains in simple terms how to solve all of your time problems in four easy steps analyse, prioritise, organise, actualise. And he brings it all down to earth with tips on finding time for yourself, time for love, time for children, time for work, and even time for household chores. With a wealth of practical examples from the RTÉ series and from other people's lives, Not Enough Hours is a simple, easy-to-read, no-nonsense guide for anybody who wants to have the time of their lives. You'll save yourself a lot of time by reading it!

As a corporate consultant, personal trainer and coach, time management is one of my pet subjects and I've read, tried, taught and practiced lots. Owen Fitzpatrick's book is simply one of my favourites. Why? Well, it's not just because he compiles what I consider to be the best models out there. It's because he does it in a no-nonsense, easy-to-use way. He also deals with the psychology of your relationship with time, which is oh, so important. (And neglected by so many other books.)

You'll almost certainly recognise some of the 'time victim' traits in your own life - and now you know what to do about them. You'll also almost certainly relate to some of the real life cases he cites. Put another way - it's so easy to learn something useful just for you.

By the way, even if you already had complete mastery over your time, this is a good read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Its only Brilliant 19 May 2009
Format:Paperback
I love this guy! He is a complete dream to read.

If you find yourself chasing your tail, working like a 1 armed paper hanger or just feel like you are constantly fire fighting against the constant tick tock of life... this book will really help you to gain control over your time and how you spend it.

There are lots of book out there, THIS one really makes so much sense and provides real life solutions to real life problems.

Not enough hours is really easy to read, easy to use and really connects with us in our intermittent email and multi tasking hell!

Owen literally takes you by the hand and gives you hope, but much better than that he gives you the freedom to say yes to what you really want because life is too short for anything else.

A must for Business owners, busy employees or anybody that wants to balance their work and life better.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read and easy to follow. 26 May 2009
Format:Paperback
Aa a fellow trainer of NLP and friend of over ten years, we shared some training in Italy recently, and it was during our brief encounter over the last few weeks, Owen gave me one of his books that he wrote, Not Enough Hours.

It was obvious that a lot of research and work was devoted to this book. It is written in a well constructed and easy to read and understand way.

It was interesting for me to read that most other books on time management say that tools like diaries, to do list are a waste of time and that they do not use them, yet when you read them, there they are.

Owen tells us how to manage your time, to take control, what is the concept of time, how our body clock works, with tips on how to implement his concepts.

With examples from his TV series on Irish televison RTE, it is easy to see how you can take control of your time management.

A good read and system.
