Honoring the Nostromo with a hard sci-fi, dark ambient excursion! 4 July 2008
By M. Watkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Grab your head phones and Turn out the Lights!

Admittedly, Amazon is not the place to shop for all
of one's dark ambient needs - and you can believe me
when I tell you, there's a LOT more out there than the
excellent offerings of Robert Rich & Lustmord.
However, Amazon has managed over the years to have a
"few" of the more obscure gems available (though it
would be NICE if they gave ambient music its own
catagory!). I believe Nostromo was originally released
in 2000 and was re-issued in 2007 with an extra track.
Either version is quite worthy.

Nostromo was the name of the ship in the first Alien
movie, and this CD does the whole 'deep space' concept
justice. SRF deliever the goods: a brooding, isolated
and alien soundscape that stands on its own as a piece
not to be compared with any 'run of the mill' dark
ambient album. There are actually lots of very solid
reviews out there so I won't labor over one here. But
if you haven't heard this, and you like it dark and
hard sci-fi to boot (Inade, Ionosphere - get the
picture?), then you will want to gobble this up asap!

Highly recommended!
