Super neti! 11 April 2010
By Anna
Colour Name:Blue
For those unfamiliar with the practice of neti it is a yogic form of nasal irrigation. A warm, isotonic solution of salty water is prepared in the pot and then poured in through one nostril, the water then comes out of the other nostril clearing the nasal passages. This is then repeated for the other side. The nostrils are then dried afterwards by some brisk breathing out and then in and out to allow air to dry the sinus areas. It is best if you learn from someone who already knows the practice but this pot makes it fairly easy to get the hang of. It can be used in the prevention of colds, snoring, headaches as well as leaving one feeling more clear headed and triggering energy points within the head area. Great after a day in the city air or to wake you up in the morning.

After trying various different neti pots over the years I have now found my favourite, the nosebuddy neti pot sold by the Scandinavian yoga and meditation school is a most fantastic neti pot. It is extremely easy to use, the measuring spoon for the salt and the line on the pot mean that you get the perfect isotonic solution for nasal cleansing everytime. The shape of the pot and the size (holding 500mls of saline fluid)is such that the pressure of the water is reasonable enough to get the nasal passages extremely clear leaving one feeling a new found clarity afterwards. Light and non breakable, easily portable it comes with me whenever I go away.

I would recommend this to beginners and more experienced neti practitioners.
Neti with this pot is something else!

I bought my Nosebuddy almost 6 months ago because a friend not only recommended me the practice of neti, but he was adamant that if I wanted to give it a try, Nosebuddy is the neti pot to go for. Passing water through one nostril and out through the other sounds messy enough to try to do it with a lousy neti pot, so I followed his advice. It's very well spent money. I learnt the technique in no time (because honestly, with this pot, water comes through your nose with the perfect pressure for you to do nothing and it comes out the right way!) and as for neti practice itself... where, for many years I've suffered from nasty colds and since I do neti every day they have changed - I still get a sore throat every now and then, but no congestion, no blocked nose... the change is so noticeable that this Christmas I am buying neti pots for friends & family who also tend to catch nasty colds!

Amazing 20 Feb 2011
Colour Name:Blue
I've been suffering with a winter virus for about six weeks now. Started as an upper respiratory infection and that just opened tbd floodgates for every other bug going. I've had laryngitis, tonsillitis, and constant phlegm and post nasal drip. Annoying enough as it is, but made worse because I'm a singer with lots of work on. Someone recommended a neti pot, which I'd never heard of. So I got googling. I was really unsure about pouring water up my nose, but as it was so highly recommended, decided to get over my squeamishness and give it a go. Researched the different styles of neti pots and settled on this one because even though it wasn't the cheapest, it seemed to have the most encouraging reviews. And I'm glad I did. With the first use, my sinuses were clear for the first time in ages. No phlegm. Miraculous. I used it for a couple days and on the third day had a gig and had no trouble at all. I will use this regularly now. No question. Totally amazing. My only complaint is why didn't anyone tell me about neti pots sooner!
