I feel that this product is for peace of mind, Mac OSX 10 has a built in firewall that blocks open ports so effectivly stops hackers accessing your mac, This program good but why have two firewalls on your mac when there is allready one there?
Go to System Preferences, Then Sharing, Select Firewall, Then Start Firewall
if you are unsure what ports have been closed run a port scan on your IP address. Find the 'Network Utility' in the applications:utilitys file.

Norton Anti-Virus is hugely effective and very impressive, particularly when used in concert with the live update to ensure the virus signatures are kept absolutely up to the moment. Personal Firewall is also fine, so long as you know enough to configure it accurately to stop unwelcome intrusion without preventing normal activity on your computer.
The only problem I've had with this software was with the parental control package, which is slightly too foolproof and can inadvertently prevent access to innocent sites even when apparently switched off, unless you're careful.
That apart, a welcome addition to Internet security for the Mac, but I wish they would bundle anti-Spam software in the Mac version as they do for Windows.
