Product Description

Review

A well-photographed look at seventy-five of the county's fortified buildings, with accompanying tales of bloodshed. (Countryman)

Also includes many remotes sites that rarely feature in the regular guidebooks. Seventy-five strongholds are illustrated, each with a brief account of its history and architecture, making this book a valuable resource for anyone planning to visit this often overlooked county. (BBC Countryfile)

My wife has been tracing our ancestors and she has managed to find many relatives from the past. The photo's in the book have found numerous castles and peel towers in the Northumberland area.

Ed Geldard has produced a fantastic book, and should be purchased by everyone who wishes to visit the Northumberland Castles.

Brilliant!!!!
