This little book is perfect for anyone wanting to do traffic free cross country rides in the Northumberland area with long rides as well as shorter rides so the whole family can get involved or you can do a mammoth trip alone or with like minded mates.
Hightly recommended

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth Updating 28 May 2012
By itproxy
I own the first edition of this guide, published 1992 (reprinted 1996). Given the lack of information on the publisher's website about how this latest edition differs from the earlier, it's fairly obvious that the answer is 'not a lot'. So, not worth updating.
Most of the routes in the first edition are good rides, but the descriptions and maps quite poor, it's very easy to go wrong, so plot them onto an OS map first, take a compass, and be guided by those!

Christmas gift for a very keen cyclist so I can't really comment on how useful or interesting this book is.
