Well the description gives it all away really doesnt it? & with it being so cheap now I do hope the 'performers' got paid this time. 'New recordings' really? Same blandness as Bestway, MotorCity & all the rest of the 're-recorded' garbage.
Dont forget Dobie's words "The originals are the greatest" & run these men outta town...whether its Worksop or Sheffield!

Bought this for my hubby for Christmas, disappointed with the DVD. The music was good but the videos were terrible! It looked like they were dragged out of the old peoples home (no disrespect to these fantastic artists!)You might as well just buy a CD and get your granny to dance for you :)
If you feel you were duped into purchasing a copy of the S.W.O.N.S. some years ago then you won't want this.
As Wienerworld say in their advertising: 200 Northern Soul songs. All proper performances. All wonderful. All brand new versions. A set to last a lifetime. This is the `must-have' DVD of the century.
Seeing the artists live on stage is one thing but personally, I'm not really into listening to a brand new version of a song I love whilst watching the artist miming away in his kitchen or wherever they managed to film him/her/them at the time, it's denigrating to them and the wonderful songs they gave us.
On the other hand, if this floats your boat and you like the newer version then crack on a buy it.
It's not for me, I'm from Yorkshire and I don't like change.
