He's also about to begin the four year service contract he promised to the state of Alaska, who financed his education. But he just happened to forget reading some of the stipulations in his contract, that has assigned him to the small post of Cicely, Alaska. A town of 215 people that welcomes it's newest resident with open arms. If I hadn't started watching this series in the 3rd year, I think I wouldn't have continued. It starts out a big boring, but builds up with time. I love it now because each person in the series portrays parts of myself - some I've accepted and others I've unsuccessfully tried to disown. Watching these DVD's, it's wonderful to see how people so differernt from each other can have disagreements, respect each other's idiosyncracies, still keep their own personalities and live in a supportive atmosphere. I also love the Alaskan wilderness and traditions that are sometimes portrayed.

Reminiscing; quirky, bizarre, funny, odd and random. Enjoyed going back in time and reviewing what used to entertain me to see if it still stands the test of time, jury is out on that but good fun.
