Format: Paperback
The book gives a historical account of each team in the Northern League, complemented with anecdotes about personalities from the league's history, along with statistics, records, interesting facts and every league table from 1890 onwards is included.

This is a good source of information for local football interest in the North East, and for those nationally with an interest in non-league football.

For the price this is extremely good value for money, and with Christmas approaching a good stocking filler.

Strongly recommended.

This is a marvellous book, excellent value for the price, and is worth it for the factual detail alone. Life is that much richer after discovering the wonderfully named Thornaby Utopians, and the stories and anecdotes featuring characters from then and now make for a fascinating and amusing read. The tale about the MP for Guisborough could restore your faith in the political system.
The warmth of the League and the continued pride shown by the many willing volunteers is reflected in the text, which is written with real affection by Mike Amos.
Anyone interested in football beyond the Emperor's new clothes that passes for the Premiership can't fail to enjoy this.

A concise and very readable celebration of the Northern League and the people who make it so special. This book will be enjoyable for anyone with an interest in the history of non-league football.
