I mean, they are Rockwell postcards, but... 12 April 2012
By D. Lee - Published on Amazon.com

I got these postcards as a way to write to my Grandmother, who is a great lover of Rockwell/Saturday Evening Post... I wanted something of her era that she would enjoy receiving/remembering years gone by. This collection is the worst possible collection of the man's art. It has hardly any of his well-known Americana pictures, and those that are included are hardly the kind you'd want on a post-card: uplifting, universal, self-contained in narrative, etc. For instance, there are some of his civil rights era pictures. These are important and fine for demonstrating the multicultural tapestry of the American ideal, but if you just want to write a letter to your Grandmother something to brighten up her day, you don't want to be a buzzkill and send her a token from one of the most tumultuous/depressing eras in American history. There are some Kennedy pictures, some pictures of coming of age kids, etc... again, stuff that is fine, but wouldn't brighten up someone's day who needs it.
I would give this one star, but the description is correct: 30 Norman Rockwell postcards. I'm just very, very disappointed with the selection. Probably someone bought the licensing fees for minor Rockwell and is trying to profit off of it however they can. I cannot recommend this to anyone unless you don't care what the theme is or you are trying to depict some progressive themes from the civil rights era. Really disappointed.

The lesser-known Rockwells 20 July 2013

I don't recognize most of the works in this collection (I have the other set, which is excellent and more known). But, I still really like Rockwell and I enjoy sending these postcards in Postcrossing. You can't really get any more Americana than Rockwell!

These are oversized postcards and will require postage for a letter (one Forever) to send these within the US.

Good cards 23 Sept. 2010

Being a post card collector, I really enjoy having these cards. The only draw back, as many have stated, is the perforations on the sides. This is not much of a problem if you have a steady hand and a good pair of scissors. Overall I'm very happy with them.

Rockwell more than pleases 1 Sept. 2011

This is my third book of Rockwell's work and he never disappoints. This book covers more "modern" times and the painting of Kennedy's nomination at the Democratic convention is a wonderful memory brought to the forefront of my mind and there is a nice tribute to Reagan, also. Card are high quality. As with many books, if you intend to send them, you must be careful on removing them...it is not easy. I found this book of cards classic and timeless.

Beautiful cards 23 April 2014

There is everything here from some of the famous Saturday Evening Post covers to a some presidential portraits (Kennedy, Reagan.) If you are sending postcards and want something a little unusual but very American, these are very nicely printed and are fun to give. They come in a book, so you can leave it as a book rather than pull out the pages/cards if you wish.
