Excellent cake tin for giant cupcakes,
By
This review is from: Nordicware Giant Cupcake Pan (Kitchen & Home)
This cake tin creates giant cupcakes in two halves, which, when baked stack neatly on top of each other to create a great looking cake. The detailing in the mould in very good, but not so fine that it is lost when the cake is baked.
The cake tin is made of a highly non-stick material, which means that cakes baked in it come out easily without losing any of the detailing from the mould. Pre-greasing with butter is useful, or the various sprays that are also recommended. Washing is relatively simple, and whilst it will go in the dishwasher, I don't know whether this will adversly impact the excellent non-stick over extended periods. Other suggestions for use include making an ice cream cake, with the bottom half cake and the top half ice cream, or a jelly cake. The ice cream works well, but you have to use a very strong and concentrated jelly for it to hold its shape, as it is relatively tall compared to its width. Overall, this is an excellent cake pan and worth paying the few pounds extra over the cheaper version to ensure a good non-stick finish.

Great for all celebrations. Best one on the market.,
This review is from: Nordicware Giant Cupcake Pan (Kitchen & Home)
I am so pleased I paid the extra for the best tin. I use Wilton cake release and have had no problems. The base is slightly smaller than it actually looks but just frost the top even more to add height! I made two of these cakes for my son's teachers before the summer break as a thankyou. I was really pleased with the result, I used Nigella's buttermilk cake and decorated with holographic cake glitter and wafer flowers. It is a hit in our house for many events birthday, christmas, love you, and something the children love to make and decorate with a whole host of goodies!!

Nordicware Giant Cupcake pan is a fantastic buy but not for everyone!,

I highly recommend the Giant cupcake pan By NORDIC WARE, it is a 10 cup pan and cooks evenly without sticking!, this pan is a real winner in our household.
My recommendation is: if you don't like messing around with icing or frosting buy a Bundt pan that does not cook your cake in two halves because you need to ice these ones I personally prefer baking with the other Nordicware Bundt Pans, only because it is so much quicker to just Dust or Drizzle the cake and serve, you don't have to actually wait for it to fully cool, It is more a time thing with me, it takes over an hour to cool fully. However... My kids prefer this pan because they can play with the design and decorate with sprinkles and sugar craft
