Product Description
The TruTorque™ has a comfortable and durable handle constructed using a base material for strength overlaid with a soft- feel grip for comfort and slip resistance which means that it is safe and easy to hold. It just feels right and well balanced.
The handle including lens are chemical resistant which means that they will not be adversely affected by common substances found in engineering and automotive environments.
The TruTorque™ has an accuracy of +/- 3% which means that it has a tolerance exceeding all international standards.
Supplied complete with its own traceable calibration certificate in accordance with BS ISO 6789:2003 and unique to the serial number laser etched on to the instrument.
The easy to read primary dual scale means that the operator can set the desired torque in either N.m or lbf.ft.
An additional micrometer N.m scale adjustment to set the required torque precisely.
The adjustment up and down the scale can be achieved with minimal effort as the entire scale can be traversed in approximately ten complete turns.
The TruTorque™ incorporates an adjustment lock which means that there can not be accidental adjustment once the required torque setting has been locked in.
The reversible ratchet and a 5 degree engagement angle means much easier positioning of the wrench in the tight confines of engine compartments and machines.

This torque wrench is somewhat unusual in that it covers very low values (actually going from 1 - 20 N.m rather than the 4 - 20 N.m specified in the description) which makes it ideal for setting the low torques required by bicycle components.
Other than that there's not much to say about it: it does exactly what it should, and it's so well made that it'll keep doing what it should for a good long time.

Hand tight was usually good enough for me until I snapped an M3 cap head bolt. The time I spent drilling it out let me ponder the benefits of a low range torque wrench. It may seem costly...and I would advise a bit of thought to determine how much it will be used against the outlay cost but personally I believe the quality and repeatability it offers is worth paying a bit more...I've not looked back since.
