I quite happily paid the extra tenner over the Halfords equivalent to support a good British engineering company. But I'm very pleased with the quality to boot - this really is a very good product.
I've never really used a torque wrench before so don't have much to compare with admittedly. My only gripe though is the 1/2" socket mount - although it cleverly pops through the wrench allowing reversal of the wrench - torque measurement is only possible in one direction of rotation, so this allows torque to be measured both clockwise & anti-clockwise - this feature makes fitting sockets a little awkward because the mount often popps through the wrench instead of the socket popping on to the mount. Maybe all other torque wrenches suffer from the same issue - I don't know.
That said, if you're in the market for a torque wrench, I can definitely recommend the Norbar. If, like me, you're buying it for removing & replacing car wheels - also get the Draper 59080 1/2 inch Square Drive Wheel Nut Socket Set
