I am a huge Frank Black fan but I have to say I was a little disaapointed with this latest outing under the name Black Francis. After being blown away by Seven Fingers and Bluefinger, which both had a high majority of stand out brilliant tracks I couldn't help but feel a little let down by Nonstoperotik. Don't get me wrong it is still a good album but it's just not quite as brilliant as I'm used to. That said, as always with Frank, there may yet be a few tracks that grow steadily on me after the 5th 6th or 7th listens. Frank Black albums can creep up on you in that way, so I'm rating this one a three with the potential to sneak to a four. But, if you want an immediately brilliant rock/punk/alternative listening experience get Bluefinger, or even better Seven Fingers before delving into this one.
