This is the only book I have seen that expertly analyzes the complexities of non-verbal reasoning. The author uses a unique language for NVR with names for all the shapes and movements used. Practising NFER test papers may improve the performance of those children with an aptitude for NVR but this book will enable every child to grasp the concept and improve their non-verbal reasoning ability and test scores.

I brought this book for my 10 year old as she had a test at a selective grammar school for 2010 entrance.
We were having problems understanding the codes, sequences and rules that applied to Non-verbal reasoning. This book was recommended by another parent.
I ordered the book on amazon prime, it came within 24 hours.
We had 6 days to use the book, learn the technique of NVR before the test.
This really helped, she was able to complete her test with ease.
Only wish I'd have found it earlier as i had to give her intense coaching of 3 hours per night to complete each section.

This book is exactly what I have been looking for. It explains the various elements of non-verbal reasoning section by section, with related questions. I would highly recommend it. Great for parents struggling with any non-verbal reasoning concepts too!

I wish I hadn't bought it!
We have been doing a couple of test papers at home and after reading the reviews I thought this would be ideal because he was finding the non-verbal harder. Read more
