Aboard a seemingly routine International flight from New York to London, solemn , alcoholic Air Marshall Bill Marks (Neeson) recieves a disturbing message on his phone mid flight. If 150 million dollars isn't deposited into their account, one person will die every 20 minutes. Can Marks save the day, or is he more involved than first thought ?

Non Stop certainly lives up to it's name, but perhaps not quite for the reasons you'd first suspect. As instead of an all out action movie at 40,000 feet, it is in fact fueled by a more reserved, intriguing mystery thriller that plays out in the confines of a Boeing 767. It is book ended with some slick close quarters Taken-esque scenes to add some excitement, albeit the quality of the finale was a little disappointing visually. Things tick along at a nice pace, as Marks desperately tries to weed out a terrorist from the suspicious contingent of the 150 passengers & crew, that turns up some added twist's to the tale. Inevitably things gradually escalate & as he becomes more erratic, paranoia spreads through the plane & everyone is a suspect right up to the end. The convenience of the bodies dropping exactly on the 20 minute marks given the seemingly random nature after the initial victim, does require some suspension of disbelief.

The ominous music is a great compliment to the suspense & tension throughout. Liam Neeson (Taken) is as watchable as ever, ably supported by Julianne Moore (Crazy, Stupid, Love) & a small cast of less well known faces as a representation of the 150 passengers & crew, who are believable.

As already stated in other reviews the film is about an Air Marshall with drink problems who is confronted with an unknown hijacker. He has to find him before things turn really bad. The film is okay but not any better than that. I am a big Neeson fan but I was disappointed with this film. The story-line was very predicable and it never seemed to build up any real tension for me. I don't want to give out any spoilers so won't go into detail but Neeson has done much better films. Some of the supporting actors were good, for example the co-pilot and stewardess. Though average it is worth watching.

Bill (Liam Neeson) is an Air Marshall who likes his drink too much. While on a flight he gets a terrorist threat over his secure phone line. A passenger will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred into a specific account. Thus begins a great game of cat and mouse that was excellently written and performed. The problem I had was when the culprit was revealed the motive was so unbelievably lame. Seriously? That was the best thing 5 guys could come up with?

A thriller worth watching once they get an alternative ending.

Parental Guide: 1 F Bomb near end by co-pilot. No sex or nudity. Implied sex as couple giggles under blanket.

For sheer entertainment value - it's a 'FIVE'
Former Cop 'Bill Marks' (Liam Neeson) now an Air-Marshall has little in the way of
self esteem these days, events of the past has left him a shadow of his former-self.
He's on a routine flight from 'New York' to 'London'
The Air-Marshall receives a text from an unknown passenger, a threat is made, the
mysterious caller says he will kill a passenger in 20 minutes time, unless the sum of
150 million U.S Dollars is deposited into a designated account within the time given.
'Bill' has to step up to the mark, he desperately tries to identify the source, however
with the absence of a suspect what can he or indeed the crew do, they have a
situation, arrange the deposit or suffer the consequences.
Early on he thinks he's found the threat, however the texts keep coming.
He engages the observational skills of stewardess 'Nancy' (Michelle Dockery) and 'Jen
Summers' (Julianne Moore) who had sat next to 'Bill' on the flight earlier.
Circumstances turn on 'Bill' he becomes a suspect.......
The situation becomes increasingly desperate and tense as time runs out, passengers
are becoming agitated, realizing there is a problem but having no answers.................
Just when you think things can't get any worse.....
An enjoyably tense affair, set, 40.000 feet high and 500 miles per hour....a roller-coaster
ride indeed.
* Watch this, and you may never want to fly again.........
Features -
* Suspense at 40,000 feet featurette.
* Non Stop - Featurette.

During a flight from New York to London, Bill Marks, a former cop dealing with his daughter's death by drinking, and is now a federal air marshal, receives a series of text messages informing him that a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes until the airline transfers $150 million to an offshore account. Can he find the terrorist in time and save everyone?

Running time: 107 mins
Genre: Action/Adventure
Cast: Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore, Anson Mount, Scoot McNairy, Michelle Dockery

To my mind not a great movie the dialogue is poor, the look is advert glossy, the CGI could be better, the performances are hugely variable; the action is brief and messy and the plot is hard to believe. All in all, like Collet-Serra's and Neeson's previous outing, this is an efficient and enjoyable thriller which will never be lauded as a classic, and never really attempts to make any sense, but further cements its star as the go-to guy for solid, old school rough 'n' tumble.
