The Nokia X3-02 is a very thin (less than 1cm), well designed phone. The build quality is excellent giving it a more expensive look and feel. It supports full 3.5G and HSDPA so it's great for accessing email and other online facilities. On top of that, to save on your mobile bill, it connects to any b/g/n wifi network. Having previously had a Nokia 5230, I found sending messages a bit painful (on the 5230) as the touchscreen was rather unresponsive. With the X3-02 it's a breeze to send messages as you use a conventional mobile keyboard (like the good old days). The touch screen on the X3-02 works well and again, saves time. All in all, this phone offers the best of both worlds for me. It also has a good quality 5 megapixel camera.

Having had the phone for 6 months, I wanted to update my review somewhat. The touchscreen has a tendancy to become very unreliable and unresponsive. This, unfortunately is a common fault. Try Googling for 'X3-02 touchscreen problem'. A phone that relies on a touchscreen has to be reliable. I am very dissapointed with the phone after an initial good opinion. I can no longer reccommend this phone.

Basically, I like the phone a lot. For somone who wants a phone to be a phone I would recommend this - I have both this and a company phone, a Blackberry Pearl, and have been using them the same length of time, a month or so, and if I had to choose it would be the Nokia. Simpler to use, good size touchscreen that allows you to use a good size font, nothing over fancy but nice and light and very user friendly. A couple of points - I did buy a gel cover for the phone as recommended by others - this was a good tip, it gives a more solid feel to the phone and will definitely protect it as I am sure the coloured metal finish will show up scratches over time - but also as others have recommended I did not put the film strip over the touchscreen as some have reported that it leaves hard-to-remove residue when you try to replace it. On the touchscreen itself, I love it, makes life simple - one issue only, occasionally when pressing your finger to the screen to scroll up/down you click on the item where you have placed your finger opening it unintentionally - I would think this can apply to most touchscreens and its not enough to steer my away from recommending this phone as a good buy for the money.

Great phone 10 Mar 2011
By Chilli
This is a great phone which uses both touch screen and normal keypad. Bought the phone for my mother for her birthday and she has fallen in love with it and is able to use all aspects of it with no trouble. Would recommend it.
