Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the *perfect* mid-range phone from Nokia, aimed at people looking for a not-so-basic and not-too-high-end mobile, with a flawless, no-nonsense metal body, slim profile and more than enough features packed in.

While this phone was originally intended as a direct upgrade for the highly sucessful 6300, it is also a great replacement for the older 6230i (one of Nokia's most successful phones ever).
This really is the perfect mid-range phone.

Pros:
1) 3.2MP autofocus camera + xenon flash has quite good picture quality.

2) Feels solid, with a metal casing and slim sizing fits comfortably in any pocket and looks quite professional.

3) Has built-in maps which allow you to search addresses and places.

4) Features the tried-and-tested S40 (non-symbian) OS, which is always known for its speed and realiability (no crashes) - although its a bit inflexible.

5) Radio features RDS for viewing music information.

6) Features a standard 3.5mm jack so you can use *any* earphones instead of being limited to properietary nokia ones.

7) Large 2.2" display is crystal clear, and very readable even in direct sunlight.

8) Confortable keypad with distinct keys is a pleasure to type on.

The Cons:

1) No GPS - despite the fact that it has maps installed on it. But at this price, who's complaining?
2) S40 interface is a bit inflexible - you can't multitask, edit office documents, minimize apps etc.
But again, isn't that asking for too much at this price?

All in all, if you're looking for a professional-looking phone with decent features, don't need advanced features like GPS or Wifi, you probably can't go wrong with this phone.

Have had this nokia for two weeks and must say that after the 5310 xpress music I have regained my trust in nokia phones. Have had nokias for 10 years but the 5310 was a let down on build quality!

The 6303 has a great feel, looks stylish, feels robust being mostly steel shell and buttons easy to press. I like the 3.5mm jack for headphones and the sound is great. Featues are the same as for any nokia. Transferring music to the phone was simple and updating the software was easy. Camera with dual led lights and autofocus took great pics in dim light. Have not tested the video yet.

Still cannot get used to the sound of the ringing tone which I find rather low........... but that's probably me! Rather on the heavy side (~100gms) though small enough to fit in a pocket. Hence gave it 4 stars.

Easy to use 21 Sep 2009
By Droggs
I have had this phone for over a month now. Works well, light, easy to use and very good battery life. I still only need to recharge once a week and even then the battery has only gone down by 2/3rds.

A good mid-priced phone but includes undeletable junk
A good mid-priced phone, solid, well made, and very easy to use. And yes, the maximum ring volume is very low. Go for the black version, it's much the nicer looking of the two. Read more
