I attempted to buy this product direct from Nokia 2 months ago but the unit they sent me was faulty -the headphones, (theirs or mine) couldn't maintain a stable connection, resulting in loss of signal/mono reception. I sent it back for a replacement but the Post Office lost it. Tsk. After much shennanigans and Douchebaggery I obtained a refund and bought one off Amazon.(£5 cheaper ta.v.much)It arrived quick + in good nick Blah Blah Amazon are the dog's etc,the unit works fine - no problem with the headphone connection and after re-installing the software onto my N8 3 times, the software is easy to use.When it gets a signal the clarity is first class but herein lies the problem.The sales pitch states you can use your own headphones - unless you live on the roof of a tall building 640 feet from the Crystal Palace Transmitter you will lose the signal when you move to 641. I took a 6 mile bus journey through the 'Burbs into Town and lost the BBC.R4 signal intermittantly for approx 70% of the journey.I tried the next day using the Headphones supplied and got good reception for about 95% of the journey. That said, when I got into Town amongst the high buildings the signal was very flaky. I switched to the music player on the N8 and listened to Mp3 through the Dab unit -very good sound quality,better than listening through the normal connection using an £80 pair of Sony headphones. All in all this is the best way I have found of getting good quality radio on my phone without having to stream it (the reception for 3G streaming for R4 is about as consistant as DAB reception).I'm going to keep it and whistle during the gaps.

This excellent headset is a 'must have' if you want to listen to DAB radio on a Nokia N8. The standard headset supplied with the phone is of no use for DAB radio! There are 3 different pairs of ear buds supplied to ensure a comfortable fit, and the sound quality is truly outstanding for both phone and radio use. Friends a have said that I sound clearer when I use the phone in headset mode. The controls are easy to use but as with all DAB radio there is a slight pause between stations when switching between channels. It's not a fault but rather a quirk of DAB radio when compared with FM stations where the change between stations is very fast. I'm very pleased with the CU-17a DAB radio headset hence the 5* rating.
