This is the offical Nokia N95 8gb case. I have bought one recently and its a top class cover. The phone itself slips into the cover comfortably and the cover holds onto the phone with a firm grip, so you dont have to worry about the phone sliping out. The cover itself looks smart and suits the phone perfectly. The downside to the cover is that it will make the phone look even bigger and whilst in the cover you cannot place the phone in a trouser or jean pocket due to the sheer size. Overall the cover does its job well and at a cheap price, you can't go wrong. Thank you.

Unfortunately I didn't read this one right and thought it was a belt case, it's not, just a carry case with no belt mount capability. When making or receiving calls, if you're right-handed then the flap gets in the way, either folding around your face or having to uncomfortably be folded behind the phone. You can't really take the phone out of the case conveniently to make or receive a call.
As a carry case it's OK but I'm sure you could get better, the catch for example is just a slit in the leather that a nipple pokes through, once the leather softens the catch will probably get weaker. Gives full access to the buttons, speakers and everything else on the N95 bar the gallery button, camera button and infra-red port which can only be accessed when the case is open. The front cover gets in the way a bit when two-handed texting but that's likely to be the situation with any case. The front flap is stiff only, not metal or hard plastic insert to give strong screen protection but the N95 8G has quite a strong screen relative to earlier models I'm told.
I'm going to look at a Proporta case that also has a belt mount, I'll see if it gets in the way when making calls.

Basically you rip the plastic phone holder out of the case and throw the case away, then use contact glue to fix the phone holder onto the end of a £15 Halfords universal phone car mount (after unclipping the universal mount and filing off the plastic holding tabs). This then makes the best N95 8G car holder I've seen.

I bought this case for the 8GB N95 as I thought a Nokia branded product would be the most suitable protection for a Nokia phone. But I was mistaken.
The clips did not hold the N95 very securely (it seemed as though the case was intended for a thinner phone, although the Nokia site said the case and phone were compatible). As well as not holding the phone securely, answering was difficult and you either had to remove the phone from the case or have the case cover flapping over your face whilst you spoke... I returned the case to Nokia for a refund and set out to find something better; discovering the Proporta `Flip Type Alu-Leather Case'.
Whilst the Proporta case is a more expensive option, it is beautifully made in very soft leather. The phone has already been dropped whilst housed in it, but was unharmed, so the case has already proven to be worth the cost. Operating the phone is easy whilst it is in the case and the design of the cover means that it is out of the way when speaking on the phone (so you do not have to remove the phone from the case to use it). The clasp across the bottom of the case really adds to the feeling of security.
To sum up, I would not purchase the Nokia branded leather case for the 8GB N95; the Proporta case is fantastic by comparison and easily worth the additional cost.
