I've had this item for 5 months now. I initially used the device with a Nokia N8 then an iPad, iPad 2 and finally an iPhone 4. Apart from occasional disconnect/auto-reconnect (which may have been the fault of the device OS), it worked fine on ALL devices, allowing ALL controls (Play, Stop, Pause, Skip etc) to work.
While they are not the most comfortable headsets to wear, I don't think that ANY in-ear type would be for extended periods anyway.
However, the right earpiece has snapped. I've been very careful with the handling of headset as I use it daily, so this came as a great shock.
I'm reluctant to purchase another one as I can see from another review that the same thing has happened to someone else, leading me to think, this is a design fault.
A great shame, once you go wireless there's no turning back, but this style of headset are few and far between. I have the wrong type of earlobe for the earbuds style generally provided with media devices, they just don't stay in. So the neckband did the job for me.
In conclusion, as seems to be the case with Nokia these days, great product, great potential, disappointing execution.
Unfortunately I sold my Nokai BH-214 when I got the BH-505, so may get another one, at least this allows you the wear the headset of your choice.
If you choose to get one, handle with care.

These headphones are simply outstanding when compared to the price being charged. I bought Motorola Wireless headphones before. They had more distortion while moving etc. Also they had connectivity problems with my Nokia E63. But BH-505 connects flawlessly with all blue-tooth devices I have been using so far. Its bass is a bit too strong but that's what I needed. It fits into my ears perfectly, and even before I turn on my music, I am already cut out from surroundings. It pains a bit though but thats only for a few weeks, It has loosened up a bit and fits into my ears without any problem and I can wear them for longer hours now.
For me, this product is one of the best products I have ever purchased. Would definately reccommend it to music lovers who want to seamlessly handle the calls as well.

Absolutely brilliant when I first got them, unfortunately they stopped working soon after my original review.
Looking up other owners comments about these on the internet - Nokia support discussions in particular - this seems to be the case for a lot of people who got this headset.
After a couple of months use, the headset started turning itself off or not turning on in the first place quite randomly. It would sometimes go into pairing mode mid tune. For the last week or so it just won't turn OFF. Has to be reset to turn off, which means pairing with the other bluetooth device before every use.
Seriously disappointed, was really looking forward to getting these (a gift). General opinion on forums seems to be that they cannot deal with any sweat at all. Kind of makes them pointless as most people will get these for use while exercising.

I've owned more than 15 different bluetooth headsets. Currently own 3 different stereo bluetooth headsets. These are easily the best set I've ever had.
Had them for a couple of months now. Used when walking, gym or juggling.
Very comfortable and don't move around or fall out of my ears like so many other headphones do, even if they get hit with a juggling club.
Good clear sound, in-ear buds best for music (better bass). Good selection of both in-ear and 'on-ear' buds supplied so most people should find a good fit possible. Standard bud style fittings so theres a wide choice of after market buds around if you're really picky.
Sound quality is brilliant. Quiet tunes play with zero hiss, can go louder than I'd ever want without losing any quality.
Calls are clear, with a little echo if using the in-ear buds. Callers can't tell if I'm using the headset or the handset.
Only downside with these is that it's illegal to drive in the UK with any stereo headset on. Otherwise they'd be permanently sitting on my ears.
