I Love This Phone!!, 16 Jun 2007
My old nokia phone was on its last legs after three years of loyal service, and so with some trepidation I started looking for a new phone. I soon settled on this Nokia phone. Not only does this phone look sleek, it does everything (and a lot more) that I want it to.
Perhaps after being a Nokia user for so long, I should say I'm impressed with the battery life of this phone. Nokia promises you 3.5 hours talk time and 350 hours standby time, and so far I can say that I have definitely have had this. I can normally talk for about 150 minutes over a five day period before my phone starts warning me to charge it up.
I don't use this phone to browse, so I can't comment on that, but it comes with a Opera browser. I'm not too bothered about the radio or camera either, but I did play around with them when I first got the phone, and the reception is clear and the pictures come out very well.
As with all Nokia phones the menu system is very intuitive and it has yet to drop a call in some areas known for their dodgy reception.
One feature that I love about this phone, is that if you miss a call or message there are two little blue lights on the side of the phone that will flash until you push your navigation key to find out what you missed.
Oh, and you can also add smileys to your text messages. You can even delete your text messages without reading them, which I think is a brilliant feature.
Other than that, this phone comes with all the basics: alarm clock, countdown timer, calendar, to-do-list, notes, calculator and games (snack, soccer and sudoku - which is a joy).
Apart from wishing that this phone was slightly smaller, I can't find a fault with it. Well, I suppose people with huge fingers might find the keypad a little small, but other than that it is a perfect phone.

Beautiful!, 20 May 2007
The Nokia 6300 is a stunningly beautiful phone. Its stainless steel covers give it a real sense of sophistication and it feels really special.
Beyond its looks, it is also a very nice little phone packed with features, but not intimidating or hard to use either.
I upgraded because I wanted a better camera and music player. With 2 megapixels and a zoom, the camera on the 6300 is fine for general use although is not going to replace my 'proper' camera. It also takes video and records sound.
The music player is perfect for my needs, although to make it really worthwhile you'll need to purchase a larger memory card (which I did very cheaply on Amazon). Uploading music to the phone was quick and easy with the Nokia software provided and have been very impressed by the sound quality the phone produces with and without the headset.
It's early days, and I cannot comment on long term reliability yet, however I am very impressed with this phone so far. It is easy on the eye and meets all my needs. The smaller keys are a little trickier to navigate than some of the older style Nokia's at first, but this is a minor point and I am quite delighted with my purchase!

Solid and simple, 8 July 2007
While I didn't buy mine from Amazon (sorry, found it cheaper elsewhere) I'll post my review here anyway.
Pro's:
* Excellent screen, very vibrant and large for the phone's size.
* Simple to use like any other Nokia
* Very easy to customize
* Looks good, very limited use of plastic which is nice. The metal casing is one of it's biggest selling features.
Con's:
* Speaker is on the back of the phone. This means if you have it laying flat down it will be hard to here in a busy/noisy area.
* Only 1 alarm, not good for those of us that use it as an alarm clock.
* Battery is reasonable but not great.
* Not a phone for the "tech" people. Has the basics..MP3/Bluetooth/2MP camera
Overall it's a very good but very simple offering from Nokia, it has it's issues but nothing that should stop you from buying it. A hone for the person that just makes call, sends texts and swaps images/MP3's with friends once in a while.
