Manufacturer's Description

The Nokia 6030 mobile phone has been created as an incredibly easy-to-use handset. Nokia phones already had a straightforward menu system but this phone's been further improved to make it perfect for first-time users. In fact, it'll suit anyone who wants a phone without any fuss. There's no camera but this won't stop the Nokia 6030 from sending or receiving picture messages. The colour screen will keep your images looking bright and will also let you browse the mobile internet. If you prefer to send text messages you'll be helped by the predictive text dictionary and the large keypad, whilst incessant talkers will appreciate the built-in hands free loudspeaker. Browse through the features and you'll soon discover an FM radio that'll entertain you on the move. A calendar will organise your life, complete with reminders to make sure you never miss an appointment. You can even customise the phone by buying clip-on covers. So if you're after a mobile phone but don't want a camera, you'll like the Nokia 6030. This is a practical little handset with attractive looks and a user-friendly design.

If you don't want camera & bluetooth, this is the right phone for you. Long charge capability, keypad lock, FM radio, no disturbence while talking, very simple to use. I used lots of camera phone, could not see any advantage, now I am using the Nokia6030. I'm happy with this one. Only one thing I feel, that the phone set should have bluethooth facility.

NOKIA 6030 RUBBISH 4 May 2006
I wanted a smaller, lighter, no nonsense phone , to use only as a phone with no gimmicks. Typical of Nokia it is very easy to use & looks good.

First mistake was trying to store a normal "ring ring" tone - there isn't one ! All you have is a choice of pretentious crap sounding tunes, I got fed up listening to the nearest thing I could find to a normal ring. Second mistake was trying to use the phone in daylight - totally impossible, I could not read a text, as for making a call, forget it.

Nokia "WAKE UP" - Most of us who do not act like sheep want a decent phone that we can use, these so called new improved screens are rubbish and a step back into the dark ages (or light ages) You cannot see a thing on them in daylight !

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE AT ANY COST !!!

It is robust, easy to use, will receive MMS (pictures) but not send it.
If you just want a text and talk it is the usual high quality NOKIA product.

The only awkward thing I found is the navigation button being very close to the number 2 button and this is pressed too easily. Later Nokia 6070 has raised this I noticed.
