This is my absolute favorite! It is slim and light, fits in any pocket (jacket or jeans), and the battery is enough for a week (if you don't talk all the time, naturally).
However, I use it mainly to take calls and I don't use any functions apart from calling and txt messages. It allegedly has a radio and camera but I have never tried to use either and I don't think I ever will. You can browse the internet with it but although the screen is fairly big and bright I would not recommend it too seriously unless you need a weather forecast or currency exchange rates. It does have games as well but if you're choosing your mobile to play games, how 'bout getting a life? Very decent materials, after three months of using not a trace of wear and tear. Nokia software is a league of its own but then if you had one Nokia you move on to the next and you don't look at others. And you don't need anyone trying to convince you how good it is. I have always asked for the cheapest Nokia there was and I have never complained. This is a phone for adults - you won't impress anyone with it. If you think your sex appeal needs some accessorizing, you may not find this one your perfect choice. In other words - if you need a phone, it is the perfect choice. If you need a lot of other stuff as well, it probably is not.

This is a very small, thin and light phone which has all the functionality most of us need. It will fit in any sized pocket / purse. The screen is very bright and easy to read - the ring tones are polyphonic and can be set very loud if needed; vibrating is pronounced and the earpiece has an undocumented volume control by pressing right or left key to increase or decrease (This is not in the manual!). It synchronises beautifully using Nokia PC Suite (free download from Nokia site) with Outlook, Outlook Express etc using bluetooth - don't by a USB cable it isn't necessary unless you don't have Bluetooth on your laptop / PC. It will work with any Bluetooth headset in the car. It will do email if you want it to, it has an FM radio aboard and has a camera with a zoom lens.
I bought it unlocked (SIM Free)as per this page from Amazon and run it on a free (47p) Asda SIM (Vodaphone provides the carrier) which is the market leader at present in PAYG pricing (8p per minute calls, 4p text, non-expiring top-ups, 20p per minute any phone any overseas country). I have a Blackberry as well which costs a fortune to run but I prefer this! It just needs a screen protector from EBay (ooops - perhaps I shouldn't say that!). As the previous reviewer confirms if you just want to make and receive calls without a load of glitzy enhancements this is what you need - and its Nokia so everything supports it!

Lightweight and small, but still easy to use. A good basic phone. I am new to Nokia (always had Motorola before) so there were a few new things to learn, but overall it was easy to pick up.
My only disappointment is that it doesn't beep to remind me if I've missed picking up a text or phone call as my previous phone used to do. (I've searched everywhere and can't find a setting for this on the phone). The description of the phone said 'black' but when it arrived it was blue!! Nokia 2630 Black Sim Free Unlocked Mobile Phone
